Rhythm on the Range Concert Series Schedule

July 8 - Reed Thomas Lawrence
Reed Thomas Lawrence offers that rare jewel to his fans. He writes and plays music that is original and artistic but doesn't lose a drop of pop friendliness in the process of seeking to infuse thoughtfulness and intelligence into the world of music. His vision remains uncompromised while bringing music to the masses that the masses will embrace.

Following up his Ep, "Slip Into The Crowd" Reed currently released his new "self titled record", with producer and engineer Franchot Tone from the critically acclaimed band, Culver City Dub Collective. Tone, who has worked with artists as diverse as Garth Brooks, Robby Kreiger (The Doors) Ozomatli, Ben Harper, The Used, Living Colour, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Houston, Jack Johnson and Goldfinger, is co-writing songs with Reed, weaving his influences into a cohesive new flavor.

July 15 - Locust Street Taxi
Audiences are often surprised by the energy shooting offstage at Locust Street Taxi performances. The group's combination of unrestrained horn playing, zealous vocals and non-pretentious sense of humor are a refreshing departure from the ordinary. The songs range in style from pop and swing to funk and folk-rock. LST are known for having loads of fun on stage, as well as for inspired musicianship and inimitable stage antics.

July 22 - The Vipers Featuring Deb Cleveland
Combine the powerful vocals of gospel-trained Deb Cleveland with the no-nonsense, straight-up blues of four veteran Eugene musicians and you've got The Vipers featuring Deb Cleveland.   In 2006 the band won the Eugene Weekly Readers' Poll as Best Local Blues Band and in 2007 and 2008 Deb won as Best Local Blues Personality.   Earlier this year Deb received the Rainy Day Blues Society's Rooster Award for Female Blues vocalist.  The band is working on a new CD to be released later this year and plan a return tour to Europe for early 2010.

Harmonica player Jon Silvermoon founded The Vipers in 1992 with his good friend the late Henry Vestine, guitarist with Canned Heat.  Guitarist for The Vipers is Johnny "Guitar" Ward, a long-time staple of the Eugene blues scene.   Stand-up and electric bass player and vocalist Byron Case had several Top 10 hits with his band The Sunrays in the 1960s   Rounding out The Vipers' rhythm section is the steady beat of drummer and vocalist Rick Markstrom.

July 29 - Intervision
Intervision's song "Live Out Loud" has WON the award of Best R&B song in the 2008 Independent Music Awards. The IMA's are an international music awards program judged by the likes of Peter Gabriel, Lisa Loeb, and Buddy Guy.

BIO: There is no doubt anymore, Intervision has single-handedly created a groove epidemic in their hometown of Portland, OR. Combining elements of soul, rock, jazz and pop, the sextet is earning lofty comparisons to bands like Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, and Jamiroquai, yet have created their own intensely unique sound.
