Although not actually resembling the character from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the herd of elk that historically roam on the grounds of Crosswater Golf Club at Sunriver Resort have returned this winter.

The 2009 Cyclocross National Championship will be wrapping up this Sunday, December 13 in Bend, Oregon and will be returning to bike town USA (Bend) next year. This is actually the second time in the tour's 34 year history the event will be hosted in Central Oregon. Sunriver, 15 miles to the south of Bend, was the host back in 1976 - the second year the Cyclocross Championships were held.

Last weekend Sunriver Resort participated in the annual Bend Christmas parade which drew thousands of people in subfreezing temperatures. We're proud to say for the second year in a row, the Resort was awarded the Grand Marshal's Award for best commercial float!
