As I drive into work at Sunriver Resort at 4:30 each morning (my commute is not like most), I carpool with my 90 pound dog, Zoe. A Bernese Mountain Dog-Golden Retriever mix, she is quite a sight as we roll along; her large head out the window, wind in her face, eyes wide open and ears flapping.

Among my favorite events at Sunriver Resort, is Free Fishing Day at Caldera Springs. Hosted annually during the month of June, Sunriver Resort, The Sunriver Anglers, The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, The Deschutes National Forest, and Caldera Springs host 250 youth from the surrounding community at Obsidian Lake for this lively one-day event.
