Back in 1968, two years before Earth Day started, visionaries John Gray and Don McCallum gave an interview that talked about their new development in Central Oregon called "Sunriver". Below is an excerpt from that interview. Happy Earth Day!

As the 40th Anniversary of this day is being celebrated by millions of people all over the world, our properties celebrate the day in unique and impactful ways. From our urban historic hotels, to our beach-side resorts, we strive to do our part in being good stewards of the environment. We plant trees, host Earth Day fairs and recycling drives, and offer local and organic menu items in our restaurants. Many of our properties donate a percent of sales to community and environmental organizations and for several of them this will be an employee Bike to Work Day.

Because Sunriver Resort sits at 4,100 feet, signs of spring usually come a bit later than lower elevations. Late season snow showers delayed those signs even further this year. But this week we saw our first spring thunderheads of the season.
And just today, with temps in the 60's, the dafodil blooms finally made their appearance.
Spring is NOW definitely here in Sunriver.
