It only takes a few minutes with Banquet Chef Lucio Garnica to know he is passionate about two subjects; food and reducing Sunriver Resort's carbon footprint. “I want to blow people away. I want to take products from our great local sources, give it an elegant twist, and give our customers something they have never seen at a banquet.”
Fort Funnigan, Sunriver Resort's state certified child care center, was recently enorsed by the Oregon Environmental Council (OEC) as an Eco-Healthy Child Care provider making the facility one of only 1,326 providers throughout the US, Canada, and Australia that serve over 52,314 children.

After an intense review (and re-review) Sunriver Resort is excited to announce that the Trail Ride Registration Facility (TRR) at the Sunriver Stables has been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) “Silver Certification” by the United States Green Builders Council (USGBC). This is the second LEED Silver Certification awarded to Sunriver Resort in the last six months. The newly constructed Marina building was granted this honor as well in the fall of 2009.
