Those that have visited Sunriver Resort have most likely heard the old adage: "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes". Well last week Central Oregon lived up its reputation of being a place where "erratic" weather behavior can alter plans a bit.
On Sunday October 4th we had about five inches of snow on the ground. At the Woodlands golf course there was no chance of getting in that wonderful fall round of golf due to the conditions in this photo.
Sure, the prediction was for a little bit of snow - perhaps a dusting - but this was almost unprecedented for the first weekend in October. But just as quickly as the snow storm hit, the snow melted. Two days later the stars realigned and the temperatures returned the mid 60's and golf was once again fairways and greens. Photo below was taken 36 hours later. This is why we love it here!
