Twas the week before Christmas
And our vacation was near.
I packed my wife and kids in the car
For some Sunriver Resort cheer.
When we arrived at the Lodge
We saw something neat,
It’s called an Elf Tuck-In
And it's the perfect kid’s treat.
On the night of the tuck-in
Our elf came a knocking.
Her name was Noel
And she even brought the kids stockings.
She spoke not a word
But sprang into the house.
The kids loved her stories
They were quiet as a mouse.
They asked her elf questions
Like “How old are you?”
She didn’t miss a beat
And replied “I’m one hundred and two”.
My wife and I thought
What a wonderful sight.
Having this elf add some holiday magic
Has made our kid’s night!
With a wink of her eye
And a twist of Noel’s head.
Our kids got the message
It was time for bed.
“So you both be good now!”
“You’ve got nothing to fear.”
“You’re at Sunriver Resort”
“And soon Santa will be here”.
Noel packed up her goodies
And tromped through the snow
Her visit left our kids giddy
And their faces did glow.
Our elf looked back once
To see our kid’s condition
“Merry Christmas!” she exclaimed,
“And have a wonderful Sunriver Resort Tradition!
