Traditions Holiday Celebration in Central Oregon
Sunriver Resort's annual Traditions holiday event is only 15 days away. This month-long celebration of the holidays starts in earnest with the Grand Illumination on Friday, Nov. 27, and culminates with the Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day. In between, Resort guests and the general public will find more than 150 family-friendly activities and events created in the spirit of holiday tradition.
Below are some of the highlights of Traditions. A complete program can be found here.
On Nov. 27, Central Oregon’s largest holiday light display comes to life during Grand Illumination, which also features free sleigh rides for guests, live music, a magician, holiday characters, a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more.
With more than 100 extravagantly decorated gingerbread homes lining Cinnamon Lane, Gingerbread Junction is the largest collection of gingerbread houses in the Northwest. On display in the Sunriver Lodge.
