Here’s an exciting event you won’t want to miss! Saturday, June 11, 2011, the Sunriver Anglers Club and area partners are working together to provide a unique hands-on kids fishing experience to educate children about fish biology and ecology as well as the skills and pleasures of getting outdoors, wetting a line, and trying to catch a fish or two.
There will be a two fish limit for each child and only kids 14 years or younger can fish in the stocked lake. There will also be a free hot dog lunch for participants, sponsored by Sunriver Resort. Come out and visit ten exciting booths to learn about things like fly casting, knot tying, and fish printing. All participants will need to register upon arrival. Registration is from 9am-10:30pm. Fishing will end at Noon, and lunch will end at 1pm. Open to the public.
