On March 16, 2010 five local Spas across Deschutes County participated in Do Good. Feel Good. Spa Day – A benefit for the Family Access Network (FAN) of Deschutes County. Sage Springs Spa at Sunriver Resort, Anjou Spa in Bend, Black Butte Ranch Spa in Sisters, Jinsei Spa in Bend, and Shibui Spa in Sisters donated 100% of the $4,321 made that day to help FAN connect 43 children to basic-needs services for an entire year. Many families in our communities struggle to make it from day to day. Inadequate housing, hunger, health and mental health problems and unemployment all contribute to an ongoing cycle of poverty. FAN connects families with what they need so that their children can stay in school and benefit from the advantages of a good education. FAN Advocates serve over 7,800 children and family members in our community each year, improving lives and paving the way to a child's success.
