There's a foot and a half of snow on the ground. Icicles are dangling from tree branches. Everyone outside in Sunriver is buddled in mittens, hats and thick parkas and the thermostat reads 12 degrees. So why will over 100 people dress down to their swimsuits and jump into an icy 38 degree pool on New Year's Day in Sunriver? It remains a mystery. But rest assured, for those wanting/willing/needing to partake in the Polar Bear Plunge, our grounds crew is busy getting the pool ready today. Happy New Year!
