Contest rules and participation instructions for the Sunriver Resort St. Patrick’s Day event.
On Sunday, March 16th at 11am the hunt will begin for the Oregon leprechaun’s pot of gold! Every week in the four weeks leading up to the hunt check in to the Sunriver Resort Facebook page for the weekly clue! Each clue is a hint to a hint to where the pot of gold will be hidden around Sunriver. Hang on to these clues to get a leg up on the competition. The prestigious pot of gold will be filled with prizes including jewelry, overnight stays at Sunriver Resort, gift certificates, swag and more – valued at more than $2,500! Each of the four hints will also be provided the day of the hunt, but those leprechauns are tricky. And this one really knows how to hide some gold. So charge your GPS, whip out those trekking poles and metal detectors… the ultimate search for the pot of gold is about to begin!
How To Participate:
1. Follow the Sunriver Resort Facebook page where every week from 2/20/14-3/14/14 a clue will be posted that will give you an idea of where the pot of gold will be hidden. Share the posts and contest information with your friends, this leprechaun is known to hoard a big pot of gold that is easily split and being on a team could give you a leg up.
2. Additional incentive hints will be provided to those who share photos on Facebook and Twitter of their tactical planning in the weeks leading up to and during the day of the hunt. Use #SunriverResort and #LeprechaunGold to ensure your posts are seen!
3. The official hunt will begin at 11:00am PST Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at the Sunriver Resort Main Lodge where you’ll pick up the day of envelope of hints.
4. The first person to find the pot of gold hidden by our sneaky leprechaun gets it! The pot of gold is valued at more than $2,500! This leprechaun is pretty crafty though and has hidden dozens of booby-prizes around Sunriver filled with smaller prizes, new hints and some quintessential duds.
Judging Criteria: The first person to locate and reach the grand prize will win. Each of the secondary prizes and materials hidden around the resort become the property of the first person to locate and obtain that item. The contest (“hunt”) period will be from 11:00am PST to 5:00pm PST or sooner, depending on how quickly prizes are found. If no one has located the prize (“Pot of Gold”) by the end of the contest period the winner will be selected based on the creativity and frequency of social media posts during the “hunt”. This winner would be announced at 5:30pm or earlier the day of the “hunt”, March 16th, 2014. The winner must be present at the time of announcement the day of the event with valid photo ID.
Prize: One first place winner will receive a grand prize valued at more than $2,500. The prize, known as the Pot of Gold, may include, but not be limited to, jewelry, gift certificates and other prize items. Prize is subject to Sunriver Resort's discretion and availability. Notification: At the end of the contest period, Sunriver Resort, whose decisions will be final, will have selected one (1) Winner from all eligible registrations received based on who reaches the grand prize “pot of gold” first. The Winner will be announced March 16th, 2014 on, but not limited to, Sunriver Resort social accounts, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, sunriver-resort.com, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Pinterest. If a potential Winner cannot be contacted or no registrant finds the pot of gold by 5:00pm PST the day of the contest, if he/she fails to confirm the winning entry within the required time period with valid photo ID, or if he/she is otherwise ineligible to receive the prize, an alternate entrant will be selected in his/her place from all remaining social media documented entries received. Winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sunriver Resort to use said Winner's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and address (city and state) in all forms of media related to the contest, in perpetuity, without further compensation.
