Sunriver Resort celebrated its annual Easter Egg Hunt for our guests in the traditional fashion . . . thousands of Easter eggs filled with candy and toys, giggles from children racing to gather as many eggs as their baskets would hold, the snapping and flashing of cameras as parents and grandparents scurried to capture a priceless memory and the weather complimented it all with a typical Central Oregon day of . . . SNOW?!?!
Ok, so the weather was anything but typical and I can say with confidence that this is the first time in my 15 years at Sunriver Resort that we have hidden eggs in the snow, but the rest of the hunt experience was picture perfect. Despite the odd spring weather everyone was in sunny spirits and only the sea of pastel colors strewn across the blanket of white snow shined brighter. “It’s chillier than my California blood was prepared for” said one guest. “But hey, the kids are loving it and it’s not every Easter you get to experience egg hunting in the snow!”
It was certainly an Easter I will long remember and one which I believe will create a lasting memory for our guests too. So long fluffy bunny. . . I bet we all wished for your warm suit on this Easter 2010!
