AAA just polled its professional inspectors for ideas on notable North American hotels and resorts that enhance the fall foliage experience. Sunriver Resort made the list!
Sunriver is surrounded by millions of acres of coniferous forests, so it's probably not the first place people think of when considering fall foliage. But if you know where to look the fall colors in Central Oregon can be spectacular. The aspen groves lining the Deschutes River and dotting the Cascade foothills turn a brilliant, bright yellow, usually in early October. The colors from these trees are amplified by the thick green ponderosa forests that surround them, making for a dramatic Autumn scene.
