A Little Something for Everyone: New Years Activities in Sunriver
It always seems to happen around the same time, year after year. You look at the calendar and you’re completely shocked by the fact that December is almost over and January is right around the corner. It doesn’t leave you much time to contemplate how you are going to ring in the New Year.
From special dinners to New Year’s Eve parties and New Year Day adventures, the best thing about Sunriver Resort is that they already have everything planned before you even realize you need them to plan it.
With all the hubbub of the Christmas season, we sometimes forget that another holiday lies just one week in its wake. New Years is kind of like that fun-loving uncle that shows up at your doorstep unannounced with a suitcase and a smile. It is super exciting that the New Year is here, but what are you supposed to do with it?
The best thing about Sunriver Resort is that they already have everything planned before you even realize you need them to plan it. Both Meadows and Crosswater restaurants are offering New Year’s Eve dinners with special holiday menus. After a wonderful meal prepared by exquisite culinary teams, guests 21 and over can dance the night away at the biggest New Year’s Eve Party in Central Oregon at The Lodge. The cover charge includes live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, party favors, photograph, and champagne toast at midnight.
Teens that aren’t quite of age can celebrate the good times of 2013 and ring in 2014 at the Keep the Party Glowing Dance Party complete with black light, glowing accessories, and a balloon drop at midnight to end the party right.
If you are looking for a celebration for everyone, the New Year’s Eve Family Night allows you to celebrate together… and go to bed at a reasonable time. Families can enjoy interactive board, arcade and Wii games, prize competitions, and snacking on ice cream sundaes while counting down to the New Year with the East Coast at 9:00pm.
New Year’s Eve is the end of the year, but not the end of the fun! The next day, adrenalin junkies (or those who lost a bet) can start off the New Year with an icy splash during the Polar Bear Plunge, and those more sane people (or those who won the bet) can start off their year with New Year’s Day Brunch at The Lodge. New Years at Sunriver Resort is the perfect way to round out 2013 and begin a whole new adventure in 2014.
