TIS THE SEASON FOR TRADITIONS AT SUNRIVER RESORT

(Sunriver, OR)—Even Ebenezer Scrooge would get into the holiday spirit by experiencing the Traditions winter wonderland celebration at Sunriver Resort. This annual event is a festive celebration that harks back to a time when generations embraced the season—and each other.
Beginning November 27, 2008 through January 1, 2009 guests of the resort, as well as non-resort guests, can create lasting holiday memories with activities such as, old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh rides, breakfast with Santa, family Christmas concerts, and a grand illumination as only Sunriver Resort can offer.

Traditions at a Glance

Grand Illumination
On November 27, 2008, kick off the season—not to mention Traditions—with Sunriver Resort’s Grand Illumination, Central Oregon’s biggest holiday light display. Featuring free sleigh rides, live music, movies, a magician, and a special visit from Santa himself!

Sleigh Rides
It’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you! Go dashing through the snow in old-fashioned horse-drawn sleighs. Daily sleigh rides are free for resort guests.

Breakfast with Santa
Kids of all ages can tell Santa to please pass the jam at this magical breakfast buffet every Saturday and Sunday during Traditions.

Teddy Bear Tea
Every Saturday, parents and children can come for tea with their favorite teddy bear in tow. Enjoy finger sandwiches, fine teas and holiday cheer.

Elf Tuck-Ins
Visions of sugar plums fairies will dance though children’s heads when Santa’s helpers come to read children a story and tuck them in for the night.

Food & Wine Weekend Extravaganza
This special mid-December package includes a winemaker’s dinner Saturday evening with King Estate Winery and a champagne brunch Sunday morning, followed by a cooking demonstration and a food and wine pairing class.

Family Christmas Concert
Families can enjoy the sounds of the season as Victor Johnson and friends return with a special sing-along concert of Christmas and holiday tunes the whole family will enjoy.
