Sunriver Resort To Stage Summer Concert Series
SUNRIVER RESORT TO STAGE ‘SUMMER CONCERTS ON THE GREEN’ Free summer series to be held at Meadows Golf Course
SUNRIVER, Ore., June 26, 2006 … Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, will be bringing guests and community members together with “Summer Concerts on the Green.” The free, family-friendly concerts will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on five consecutive Wednesday nights, July 12 to August 9 at the Meadows Golf Course Driving Range. Curves Ahead (formerly The David Finch Trio with Susan Benson), a jazz/sophisticated groove band, will get the series started on July 12.
The remainder of the lineup is as follows:
- July 19 — Betty Berger Big Band, a 12-piece band featuring music from the 1940s and 1950s.
- July 26 — Brian Hanson & the Badland Patrol, a country music band.
- Aug. 2 — Quincy Street, an acoustic bluegrass and folk band.
- Aug. 9 — St. James Gate, which plays an array of Irish music.
Concert-goers can bring low-profile lawn chairs and blankets, while vendors will be selling food and beverages. All concerts are weather dependent.
