Sunriver Resort to Host 3rd Annual Locals Day

Complementary Golf Event at Esteemed Meadows Course

(SUNRIVER, Ore.)— Perhaps more reliable than Punxsutawney Phil himself, the truest sign of spring in Central Oregon has arrived. On Friday, April 22, 2011, Sunriver Resort will host the third annual Locals’ Golf Day on the Meadows Golf Course at Sunriver Resort.

Beginning with a shotgun start at Noon, 120 players will enjoy a free round, followed by a BBQ, awards ceremony, and drawing to win a season membership. The first 120 players to register via email at golf@sunriver-resort.com will be eligible. Those interested are encouraged to book quickly, as the 2009 and 2010 events filled to capacity just days after announcement.

Created as a “first look” celebration before the official course opening on April 23, the event allows locals to experience the benefits of membership in advance of the summer season. Such benefits include highly competitive rates and the added benefit of two course options -- the Sunriver Meadows and Sunriver Woodlands courses -- but also compelling amenities such as free range balls and no cart fees.

Annual Resort Club membership to the Meadows and Woodlands courses includes unlimited golf, golf carts, and driving range usage, with rates beginning at a Young Executive price of $995 for the season. Upgraded individual pass and family options are also available. Also popular is the Recreational Membership for $195, which gives golfers nearly half-price rates all season long.

Also featured as a membership option is the exclusive Crosswater Club Membership, which offers 63 holes of unlimited play plus exclusive Clubhouse and social calendar access. Currently, guests can join Central Oregon’s most prestigious golf club for a two year trial membership for half the initiation fees. Dues range from $254-$375 monthly with no food and beverage minimum and no assessments.
