Sunriver Resort Holds Third Annual Marathon for Cause Labor Day Weekend
Net Proceeds to Benefit Breast Cancer Prevention and Awareness

SUNRIVER, OR – Sunriver Resort presents the Third Annual Sunriver Marathon for a Cause this Labor Day weekend. The marathon weekend includes multiple races on Saturday, August 31
including a 5K/10K run/walk, half marathon, Speedgolf tournament, and a kid’s marathon and dash. Sunday’s schedule includes a Boston Qualifier marathon and a half marathon.
Net proceeds benefit the Oregon and Southwest Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which helps to fund more than 8,000 mammograms each year for uninsured and underinsured women in Oregon. For the past 20 years, Komen Oregon has invested more than $20 million throughout Oregon and SW Washington to fund breast-cancer screening and treatment for local women.
Weekend event festivities commence with a Friday evening Pink Party at the Sunriver Resort Beer Garden. Registration is still available for all races by visiting the Sunriver Resort Main Lodge from 3:00pm Friday – 6:00pm Saturday.
All races will start and end at the Sunriver Resort Main Lodge. The best locations to cheer on your runner/walker include the Sunriver Resort Main Lodge, Caldera Springs Lake House, and Sunriver Stables.
