SUNRIVER RESORT NAMED HOST RESORT FOR FIRST ORVIS FLY FISHING SCHOOL WEST OF MISSOURI

(SUNRIVER, Ore.)-Sunriver Resort has been named the host resort for the newest Orvis Fly Fishing School, the company's 11th school nationwide and first school west of Missouri. Sunriver Resort has been an Orvis-endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge since 2002.

"Our guests have indicated time and again their desire for such a program given the abundance of fly fishing opportunities in the region," said Jay Lee, director of sales and marketing at Sunriver Resort. "We have a long and successful history with Orvis through their Endorsed Lodges, Outfitters, and Guides program, so the addition of an Orvis Fly Fishing School is a natural fit for the Resort."

From April 18 through October 18, guests will have the option of choosing from 63 school dates, each featuring two days of expert instruction on everything from equipment and casting, to knot tying, entomology, and streamside etiquette. Each class culminates with a guided fishing outing on the Deschutes River, and every student receives a certificate of completion.

Cost for the two-day program is $470 and includes lodging at Sunriver Resort, two full days of instruction at the Orvis retail store, and lunch daily. Classes are open to anglers of all levels, from beginners just being introduced to the sport, to intermediate and advanced anglers looking to expand or hone their skills.
