SUNRIVER RESORT ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL MARATHON FOR A CAUSE
All proceeds to benefit Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen

(SUNRIVER, Ore.)— In the heart of Central Oregon’s inspiring running country, influenced by the breathtaking views of Mt. Bachelor, Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property, is proud to host the Sunriver Marathon for a Cause on Sept. 3-4, 2011.  In addition to full and half marathon options there will be a family 5k fun run/walk.

“Sunriver Resort is excited to partner with Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. Sunriver Resort and the communities of Sunriver, Caldera Springs and Crosswater provide the ideal setting for the race,” said Tom O’Shea, managing director of Sunriver Resort.

Racers will enjoy a USATF certified course that winds through the high desert landscapes of Sunriver, Caldera Springs and Crosswater.  The family fun run/walk will be held on Saturday September 3, 2011. The half and full marathon will be held on Sunday September 4, 2011. 

Prices for the full marathon are $75 (if registered by July 17, 2011) and $85 (if registered after July 17, 2011).  Half marathon prices are $55 (if registered by July 17, 2011) and $65 (if registered after July 17, 2011). The family fun run/walk is $25 (if registered by July 17, 2011) and $30 (if registered after July 17, 2011).
