Sunriver Resort Announces 2012 Rhythm on the Range Concert Schedule

Annual Charity Concert Weekend Set for July 6-7, 2012

(Sunriver, Ore.) — Sunriver Resort is pleased to announce the annual Rhythm on the Range Music Celebration will take place July 6-7, 2012. This family-friendly charity concert celebration will be held adjacent to Sunriver Resort’s Main Lodge on the Meadows Golf Course driving range, backed by the spectacular Cascade Mountains.

Held annually over the Fourth of July weekend, this two-day festival features performances by high-energy cover band The Hit Machine on Friday, July 6 and Beatles tribute band ABBEY ROAD LIVE! on Saturday, July 7. Doors open at 5 pm; music begins at 6:30 pm.

Rhythm on the Range also includes local food vendors, a full bar, children’s activities, arts and crafts vendors and much more. As always, the event is dog-friendly -- pets on leashes are welcome. Admission is $5 per day, to be paid at the gate (free admission for children age 12 and under). Sunriver Resort guests enjoy complimentary admission.

Proceeds benefit local non-profit Wonderland Express, who, in partnership with the Family Access Network, provides a special annual holiday celebration for needy families.

About Family Access Network:
The Family Access Network (FAN) is a local charity serving Deschutes County families in need. With the help of FAN advocates, the organization secures food, shelter, clothing, heating, school supplies, health services, and other necessities. FAN advocates support Deschutes County’s most needy families, removing barriers and paving the way for childrens’ success.

A holiday event hosted by Sunriver Resort each December, Wonderland Express provides over 200 Deschutes County children and families with a memorable holiday experience. The Hit Machine has performed at many Portland Metro area events -- including Blazer playoff games at the Rose Garden -- and has headlined Seaside’s Hood to Coast 2010 and 2010 Fort Vancouver Fireworks events.
