Sunriver Resort Golf Instruction
Sunriver Resort Golf Instruction is dedicated to making learning the game more enjoyable and playing the game more fun. Our wide range of programs are geared toward helping students learn to make corrections instead of compensations and toward helping students apply those corrections in real situations on the course.
Sunriver Resort Golf Instruction operates April 20th until September 20th and specializes in Private Instruction and Golf Clinics. One-on-one golf instruction taught by Sunriver Resort's "Class A" PGA Professionals. All private instruction is conducted at the Meadows practice facility.

GOLF PRACTICE FACILITY
Sunriver Resort has one of the finest practice facilities in the Pacific Northwest. Our expansive, secluded teaching tee allows for private, uninterrupted swing improvement. Our short game practice area with a green side bunker lets you work on a wide variety of shots inside 50 yards, including pitch shots, chipping, and sand shots. And don't forget the 10,000 square foot practice green and 9 hole putting course where you can hone those ever important putting skills.
Ryan Davis, Lead Golf Instructor
Davis a member of the PGA of America since 2005 and former Head Golf Professional is in charge of Sunriver Resort's golf instructional program for members, resort guests, and the general public. No matter your age or playing ability, Ryan brings the game of golf to life at Sunriver Resort!
Ryan grew up in Southern California and started playing golf at age seven and played competitively junior and collegiate golf. Ryan attended Portland State University, where he earned a degree in Sociology and quickly realized the game of golf was not a passion but a career path.
Ryan has been in the golf industry since 1998 where he began his career at Landon Farms Golf Club near Portland and then moved to work at the prestigious Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa, California.
Ryan's Teaching Philosophy: I believe that "connection" is sports master fundamental. My studies have taught me that good fundamentals such as grip, stance and posture can only be utilized by a proper focus of energy, or "connection." This energy starts from the ground up and releases though the ball. Like the great teacher Jimmy Ballard, I believe that golf and all sports have similar common fundamentals which create effortless power. During my group and individual lessons, I will often refer to the teachings of Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Tom Watson, and many other great teachers and players.
